SYLMAR, LOS ANGELES – A big mountain lion attacked and killed a dog in a neighborhood near Sylmar, and the area is currently on high alert.
Unsettling photographs of the event were taken by a resident of the Oakridge Mobile Home Park.
Gigi, a pit bull, was being walked by her owners when they came upon a mountain lion, according to Rey Constante. Gigi lives with her owners. According to reports, they attempted to fight back.
“It was a pit bull that was adorable, kind, and friendly, and it was completely harmless. Therefore, it was a source of sadness for me to witness the dog passing away right in front of me, and there was nothing I could do to save the dog,” Constante explained.
After being startled by an automobile, the mountain lion dashed off into the hills that were located nearby.
Residents in the neighborhood are concerned that it will come again, and they have stated that they are taking preventative measures.
