SACRAMENTO COUNTY, Calif.- On Saturday evening, two men were killed in two separate accidents involving solo vehicles that occurred within Sacramento County, according to the authorities.
Officer Mark Leavitt, the spokesman for the South Sacramento office of the California Highway Patrol, stated that the CHP responded to a collision that occurred on southbound Stockton Boulevard, just north of Florin Road, just before 10 p.m.
A man who was driving a Toyota Tacoma suffered a collision with the roadway and was pronounced deceased at the hospital. He was 59 years old. As of the morning of Sunday, there was no evidence to suggest that the individual was operating a vehicle while under the influence: he stated.
According to Leavitt, a separate collision was reported on the 65th Street on-ramp to eastbound Highway 50, and the California Highway Patrol went to the scene shortly after 10:30 p.m. When authorities arrived, they reported finding a man who was 32 years old and had suffered significant injuries. The individual was eventually pronounced deceased at the scene of the incident.
According to Leavitt, preliminary findings from the inquiry show that the individual was driving a silver BMW sedan at an unknown speed on Highway 50, west of 65th Street, towards the eastern direction.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the vehicle exited the lane for reasons that are not known, collided with a guardrail and a sign on the freeway, and then landed on the on-ramp to 65th Street before coming to a stop on top of the guardrail that is located the farthest to the south.
