A television news anchor in Texas was taken into custody on allegations of domestic violence after it was reported to the police that she had broken the nose of her partner.
College Station was the location where Heather Kovar was taken into custody on Monday night.
When Kovar and her partner were disagreeing about the problems they had been experiencing in their relationship, the court documents indicate that she was drinking margaritas at a Mexican cuisine restaurant.
They went back to her residence, which was located directly across from the Texas A&M University campus, where the TAMUPD said that the disagreement escalated into a violent altercation.
Following the materials filed in the court, Kovar hit him twelve times in the face, bit his left arm, and scraped his other arm.
He was said to have suffered a “bloody broken nose.”
Subsequently, the boyfriend took refuge in the restroom himself.
Since May in the year 2023, Kovar has been serving as the weekend anchor at KBTX in Bryan.
“The management of WLOS is currently investigating the matter,” the station stated.
