In the state of Florida, a man from Mississippi who was 70 years old was taken into custody for the trafficking of cocaine and possession of drug equipment.

The arrest took place on July 10 during a traffic stop that was carried out by a deputy from the Santa Rosa County Sheriff’s Office (SRCSO).

At the moment that Johnson was pulled over for a traffic violation, he was operating a 2021 Chevrolet Malibu that was registered in the state of Mississippi.

According to the details provided by the deputies, Johnson had gone from Mississippi to Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and was currently on his way back when the stop took place. The deputies had a reasonable suspicion that Johnson was engaging in illegal behavior while they were conducting the traffic stop.

After the individual gave their permission for the vehicle to be searched, the law enforcement officers found a vacuum-sealed package that contained a little less than half a pound of cocaine.

After that, Johnson was taken into custody and charged with the distribution of cocaine as well as the possession of drug-manufacturing equipment.
