A federal prison term has been handed down to a guy from Indiana who was captured in a sting operation while he was in New Jersey intending to meet a kid for sexual conduct.
On Wednesday, the United States Attorney’s Office for the District of New Jersey issued a statement announcing that Randal Wise, 45, of Lebanon, Indiana, was sentenced to 24 years in federal court in Trenton.

After a trial, he was found guilty on the charges of attempting to seduce a minor through the use of the internet, transporting child pornography, possessing child pornography, and attempting to transfer obscenity to a minor.
Wise was one of the 19 guys who were taken into custody in 2019 as a result of the massive sting operation that involved multiple agencies.
Wise allegedly sent messages to two individuals on a dating website in October 2019, while he was residing in New Jersey. According to federal authorities, Wise believed the users to be underage boys. Undercover law enforcement personnel were found to be the users in both of the respective cases.
According to federal authorities, throughout his conversation with the first officer, he sent nude photographs of himself and asked for comparable photographs to be returned to him. The official stated that he initiated sexually explicit communications with the second officer and encouraged the individual to come to his hotel for sex during their conversations.

With the mistaken belief that he was going to meet up with a small boy, Wise went to the location of the undercover cop on October 26, 2019, which led to his detention. Subsequently, his mobile phone was taken into custody, and the authorities announced that they discovered evidence of the discussions as well as child pornography on the device.
Wise will also be subject to supervised release for ten years within the confines of his sentence.
