A woman confessed to killing a man she met online and burying his body in a Mississippi oil field. Sierra Inscoe, 22, was sentenced to 40 years in jail last week after pleading guilty to the 2022 murder of Carson Sistrunk, aged 24.
According to a press release from the 15th Circuit Court District Attorney’s Office, she will have to serve 35 years in prison before being eligible for parole.
District Attorney Hal Kittrell said in a statement that he appreciated police enforcement’s work on the case.
“Thanks to their hard work, we were able to take a violent individual off the streets and show that there are severe consequences for those who harm others in Jefferson Davis County,” he told reporters. “Though nothing can bring Mr. Sistrunk back, it is my sincere hope that the family can find some closure in this resolution.”

Hattiesburg On September 7, 2022, WDAM reported that an oil worker discovered Sistrunk’s body after noticing tire traces. He had been fatally shot. Sistrunk had gone missing three days ago from his residence in Rankin County.
Family relatives reported he intended to see a woman he had met online, subsequently identified as Inscoe. Several days after the murder, the Mississippi Bureau of Investigation apprehended Inscoe, who was driving Sistrunk’s Ford Raptor truck, according to the Prentiss Headlight.
She was accused of motor vehicle theft, and the authorities added the murder allegation. The Daily Beast detailed Inscoe’s turbulent background leading up to his murder. Former friends informed the site that Inscoe was known to defraud individuals and steal their automobiles without consent. According to the Daily Beast, she even pretended to have cancer to win sympathy and live rent-free with someone.
Inscoe also supposedly had an OnlyFans account. On her Facebook page, she describes herself as a country girl.

“Cornbread is fed,” she wrote. “I go fishing on the first date.”
Sistrunk’s obituary identified him as a “best friend to many.” “Carson loved to fish and hunt. “As soon as he was old enough, he would strap on his holster and guns and ride his bike to hunt,” the obituary stated. “One of Carson’s joys was in March of every year.
In May, he and his father would prepare the barrels for hand-grabbing fish. He didn’t think about the frigid water and would leap in to empty the barrels.”
