A man from Alameda has been taken into custody on suspicion of committing three separate acts of sexual assault over twenty-four hours.
According to the police, Teddy Oliver, who is 22 years old, assaulted the woman on the west side of the city seven days ago.
Police suspect that Oliver assaulted a woman who fought back, which caused him to flee the scene. This is according to Chief Nishant Joshi of the Alameda Police Department. Oliver is accused of sexually assaulting another woman a few minutes later, according to the police. It was the following day that the third claimed attack took place.
“Any person that puts their hands on someone else, that is terrifying,” remarked Joshi in response. Attacks of a sexual nature are not allowed. The actions in question are heinous.
As soon as they were assaulted, all three women quickly reported it. Reporting, technological advancements, and assistance from members of the community, according to the police, ultimately led to Oliver’s arrest.
There have been claims that have been published that one of his victims was pregnant; however, the authorities did not immediately confirm that she was pregnant. There are now other charges that have been brought against Oliver, including rape, kidnapping, robbery, and sexual abuse.
In interviews with the police, Joshi stated that Oliver made additional connections between himself and the assaults.
“He provided some information that corroborated what we believe occurred,” Joshi explained to reporters.
It is anticipated that Oliver will be arraigned later on in this month.
