A teacher in New Jersey who is married and is accused of having sexual contact with a student has been charged with sexual assault.
The teacher Julie Rizzitello, who is 36 years old, was arrested on Wednesday and charged with two counts of second-degree sexual assault, three counts of illegal sexual contact, and one count of tampering with a witness. It is alleged that she had “various sexual acts” with an 18-year-old student during an affair that happened in three different states and involved meeting up “multiple times.”
During the year, she was charged with hitting the students in Belmar, Brick, and Wall counties. Authorities say that they did sexual acts together in his car in Brick on May 14 and that she later sent him naked pictures. It is already known that Rizzitello has quit her job. NJ.com got a statement of probable cause that says Rizzitello and the student had several sexual encounters from April to June 14.
It was found that Rizzitello, who got married in 2017, is being charged in both Monmouth and Ocean counties. The Special Victims Unit of the Monmouth County prosecutor and Wall police looked into the case. The Ocean County prosecutor’s office and Brick police also helped.
Anyone with knowledge about what Rizzitello did is asked to call Detective Jose Rodriguez at 800-533-7443 or Detective Devin Corso at 732-449-4500. Rodriguez works for the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office. At the moment, she is waiting for her court date at Monmouth County Superior Court, where she will face her claims.
This happened after another teacher in New Jersey was arrested. Allison Havemann-Niedrach was arrested on June 29. She was 43 years old and worked as a special education teacher.
She calls herself a “passionate” teacher online, but now she’s being accused of sexually abusing one of her students at Freehold Intermediate School. The school only has classes for sixth through eighth graders.
Police in Freehold and the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office worked together to arrest her. They are working hard to catch both teachers. She is accused of starting to sexually abuse a student earlier this year, according to TheMirror.
Given the student’s age and the nature of the case, it’s still not clear how many times she reportedly sexually assaulted her or how old the student was.
Havemann-Niedrach is now being charged with one count of first-degree aggravated sexual abuse and two counts of second-degree child welfare endangerment. In her mugshot, she can be seen smiling.
