A couple from Pennsylvania was taken into custody after the authorities were informed that they had left their child unsupervised on a beach near Lake George.
Both Paul D. Thorley, 30, and Mary E. Thorley, 28, both of Mount Pocono, Pennsylvania, were taken into custody by the State Police of Queensbury on Tuesday. Both members of the Thorley family are charged with Endangering the Welfare of a Child.
It was reported that an infant had been left unattended on the beach on June 18 at 5:47 p.m., and the police responded to the area of Lake Shore Drive in Lake George to investigate the situation.

According to law enforcement officials, “a passerby heard a child crying for an extended period of time and discovered the child alone on the beach approximately five feet from the shoreline.” It has been stated that the Thorleys, who are the child’s parents, left the child unsupervised for around fifteen minutes while they went boating on the lake.
