Greenville Man Faces KIDNAPPING and ASSAULT Charges After Weekend Incident

GREENVILLE COUNTY, S.C.– A guy is facing charges after a sexual assault alleged early Saturday morning in Greenville.

According to the Greenville Police Department, on June 8, a lady claimed to have been sexually assaulted along Worley Road between the hours of 1 a.m. and 4:30 a.m.

According to officers, the victim was severely injured as a result of the event. She is still receiving intensive care, according to wspa.com

The victim identified the suspect as Robert Vorhees. According to officers, Vorhees and the woman met before midnight but did not know each other before the incident.

Officers apprehended Vorhees and charged him with aggravated assault and battery, first-degree criminal sexual conduct, and kidnapping.

The Greenville Police Department continues to investigate the event.

The Greenville Police Department acknowledged that Vorhees has been arrested many times for the same type of offense. One of the crimes occurred in 2015.
