An 81-year-old man from Gilman has been charged with two crimes in connection with allegations that he sexually abused a child victim and showed the kid pornography earlier this month. The allegations were made public as a result of the allegations.
On Friday, Stanley Joel Chesick was taken into custody and charged with sexual abuse in the second degree, which is a third-degree crime, lascivious conduct with a kid — fondle/touch, which is a fourth-degree felony, and dissemination and exhibition of obscene materials to minors, which is a significant misdemeanor.
Many times, Chesick made inappropriate statements to the underage victim, and he also touched the victim in a manner that constituted a sexual act, as stated in the criminal complaints that were filed by the Marshall County Sheriff’s Office.
In addition to this, it is alleged that he exhibited pornographic images to the victim on a mobile phone and then requested that the victim engage in equivalent behaviors.
The Marshall County Jail was holding Chesick on a bond of $25,000 at the time that this issue was being published. It has not yet been decided when the trial and hearing will take place.
