On Wednesday, a hit-and-run suspect struck a 76-year-old lady as she was crossing the street in Van Nuys, leaving her with severe injuries. The police are asking the general public for assistance in locating the suspect who fled the scene of the violent accident.
The woman was crossing Saticoy Street when she was struck by a dark-colored SUV that was traveling westbound on Saticoy Street from Van Nuys Boulevard, according to the police. The accident took place at approximately nine o’clock in the evening.
However, rather than coming to a stop to offer assistance, the vehicle continued driving down Saticoy. The footage from the incident that was shared by detectives from the Los Angeles Police Department on Friday shows these moments.
The woman, who has not been recognized at this time, was transported to a local hospital by paramedics from the Los Angeles Fire Department emergency medical services.
Anyone who may have additional information is requested to get in touch with the detectives of the Los Angeles Police Department at (818) 644-8036.
