A “Significant” earthquake struck California on Thursday morning.
Southern California, including Los Angeles, has had a bumpy start to the morning. A severe earthquake struck California, with tremors felt throughout Southern California. According to accounts, the earthquake measured 5.1 on the Richter scale.
Anything exceeding 5.0 is classified as a “moderate” earthquake. They can cause some damage to weaker structures, so hopefully, everyone in Los Angeles and the surrounding areas will be safe on Thursday morning. Several people have swiftly resorted to social media to express their feelings after experiencing the major earthquake.
“Whoa! Scott Hanson, NFL RedZone host, wrote, “Pretty scary earthquake in West Los Angeles.”
“That earthquake was the rocky ride we just experienced here in Los Angeles. “I hope everyone is okay,” NFL reporter Jay Glazer wrote.
Many people in California are calling it the scariest earthquake they’ve felt in a long time. “That was the largest earthquake I’ve ever felt. “Oh my God,” one fan wrote.
“Just got woken up by the earthquake that was crazy,” one user added.
“The earthquake alert that causes my phone to scream 30 seconds into an earthquake isn’t exactly helpful. For example, I am familiar with phones. “I’m right here, holding on,” one admirer said.
Our thoughts are with everyone in California this Thursday morning. Stay safe, everyone.
