The Arlington Police Department is investigating a single-vehicle crash that killed a 31-year-old man.
On September 8, 2024, at about 3:37 a.m., officers arrived on the westbound lanes of I-30 at Fielder Road, where a pickup truck had been smashed in the center median.
Investigators discovered that the pickup drove off the road, crashed with a concrete barrier, and then struck a sign pillar and some guardrails.

The 31-year-old man operating the pickup truck was ejected from the vehicle. He was pronounced dead at the spot. Arlington firemen had to remove a 32-year-old female passenger, who was then brought to a local hospital in severe condition.
Investigators have not ruled out intoxication as a contributing factor in the accident.
The Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office will identify the dead after notifying the next of kin.
