CROTONA, The Bronx – After a fatal shooting in the Bronx, the police are conducting an investigation.
On Thursday, just after 5 p.m., officials from the Fire Department of New York received a complaint regarding a person who had been shot at 1898 Belmont Avenue, which is located in Crotona between East 176 Street and East Tremont Avenue.
Upon arrival at the location, law enforcement officials discovered a male, identified as Mario Guerrero, who was 26 years old and had a gunshot wound to the head.
A medical examiner pronounced the individual deceased at the scene.
More individuals declined to receive medical assistance at the site.
The investigation is ongoing, and no arrests have been made.
