24-year-old Charged With $36k Retail Fraud Following Month-long Investigation

CHICAGO – A woman from Chicago is being charged with committing multiple fraudulent return transactions at a retail establishment located on the Near West Side over the past month.

There is one felony count of maintaining a financial crimes business against Deneszria Hill, who is 24 years old. She is also facing three felony counts of theft between $10,000 and $100,000.

The retail establishment in question is situated in the 1100 block of West Jackson Boulevard, and it is alleged that Hill committed some fraudulent return transactions between the dates of July 5 and August 5. It is anticipated that the overall losses resulting from these transactions are greater than $36,000, according to the police.

Hill was taken into custody on Wednesday and charged following the circumstances. The hearing on her detention is scheduled for Wednesday.
