At about 3:57 p.m. on Thursday, August 8, 2024, officers were sent to the 1200 block of Charisse Street in response to a complaint about a deceased individual inside a property. The call said that the deceased person was inside the residence.
cops found a female victim, age 21, and a male victim, age 22, already died from gunshot wounds. Both victims were found by cops upon their arrival. At 5:26 p.m., Justice of the Peace Nicola James pronounced both of the individuals found to be deceased.
Information on the identity of those who have passed away is being withheld until their next of kin has been notified.
According to the authorities, this incident is currently being investigated as a possible murder-suicide, and they have said that there is no ongoing threat to the safety of the community.
