Florida Resident Killed in Auto Accident in Cherokee County, AL

A Florida resident was killed, and at least one other person was reportedly injured in a Cherokee County auto accident occurring Sunday afternoon.

According to information from Senior Trooper Reginald King with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency – 24 year old Jeffrey William Langford of Panana City, was killed when the 1998 Dodge Ram that he was driving left the Roadway on Highway 411 and crashed into a utility pole, before rolling over.

The wreck, taking place at 1:48pm approximately four miles south of Centre, affected several poles, and as a result pulled down a number of live wires.

Spring Creek Fire Rescue units, Floyd EMS and Alabama State Troopers all responded to the scene. in addition to personnel from the Cherokee County Coroner’s Office.
