Meth Dealer Says He “Deals Enough To Support His Own Habit”; Arrests Made

A suspected meth dealer was arrested following a traffic stop in LaFayette, when the driver was observed with no seatbelt.
Police made the stop on Chattanooga Street Friday afternoon… and when a passenger stepped out of the vehicle, glass pipes hit the ground.
Baggies containing field-tested-positive meth, digital scales, syringes and other paraphernalia were located within the Dodge Dakota.
The driver… 57 year old Tracy Steven Byrd… stated according to the report, “I deal enough drugs to support my own habit”.  He was charged with possession with intent to distribute and possession of tools for commission of a crime.
A passenger, 31 year old David Dewayne Hilburn, was charged with possession of meth.
Byrd’s cousin, who he called to pick up his vehicle, was also arrested at the scene on an outstanding warrant.
