Summerville Resident Arrested in LaFayette; Held for Chattooga

A Summerville man tried to get by without LaFayette Police realizing he was wanted in Chattooga County, Friday.  They were answering a “suspicious person” call in the parking lot of Amberwood Apartments.
The man said he was living in the car and had just “pulled in to park” at the apartment complex.  He gave officers an incorrect name.
Dispatch found a known alias, Malcom Shockley… along with an arrest warrant on that name from Chattooga County.  A Drug Task Force officer who was familiar with the subject, confirmed it was Shockley.
The 28 year old was taken to jail on a charge of giving a false name to Police… and was held for Chattooga.
