A stolen vehicle was later recovered on the side of the road after a tip lead to the location.
According to reports from the Summerville Police Department, Officers met with Willie Patrick Adams who stated that his silver, 2003 Jeep Liberty had been stolen. Adams stated that the Jeep was missing when he arrived home from work. Adams also advised that the keys may have been it in.
Later that same evening, Adams called Officers back and let them know he had received a tip that his Jeep had been spotted in the Dry Valley area. A search of the general Northwest Summerville area led to the discovery of the vehicle on McKenzie Street. The vehicle was locked with no keys visible. There was also additional disabling damage to the front, drivers side, wheel area. A tow truck was called to pick up the Jeep and it was released back to Adams.
This case is still active.
