Two Rome men, Jason Kirk Johnson, and Meco Rashad Watkins, were arrested this week after reports said a search led officers to find commercially packaged marijuana and a pistol.

Reports stated that the firearm had been reported stolen.

They were taken into custody at 3989 Martha Berry Blvd, formally known as La Conquista Mexican Restaurant .

Watkins is charged with possession of a schedule I drug, possession of a firearm while being a convicted felon and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime.

Johnson is charged with possession of a firearm while being a convicted felon and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime and possession of a stolen firearm.
