The owner of Crystal Caverns Spring Water in Calhoun was convicted on charges that he drove to Floyd County for sex with a minor.
This week, a Floyd County jury found forty-four-year-old Christopher Charles Baggett guilty on charges of trafficking of persons for sexual servitude, criminal attempt to commit child molestation and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony. He was acquitted of criminal attempt to commit aggravated child molestation.
The incident happened in March when Baggett began an online conversation with a Floyd County undercover detective that he believed to be fourteen years of age.
Baggett’s attorneys filed for a pre-sentencing investigation, according to court records, and sentencing is tentatively set for Sept. 16 at 1:30 p.m. in front of Floyd County Superior Court Judge Kay Ann Wetherington.
