Vernon Eugene Smith, 50 of Rome, was arrested this week after he allegedly stole a iPhone 8 from a location on Turner McCall Blvd before selling it to another.

Reports stated that Smith sold phone for cash at the East Rome Walmart.

Smith is charged with theft by taking and parole violation.
