Man Arrested in LaFayette for Talking Suggestively to Customers in Store

A 43 year old homeless man was tased and arrested by LaFayette Police after “talking about his private parts” to female employees and customers in a local grocery store.
The manager at the former Shoprite on West Patton asked Matthew Basel Cook to leave the store, but he refused and said “call the cops”.
When he was about to be arrested outside the store, he bolted and was tased ineffectively, according to the report.  An officer chased him on foot and cuffed him.
Several females from the store said Cook made inappropriate gestures and suggestions of a sexual nature.  He was charged with disorderly conduct and obstruction.
