Chattooga County Schools Need Substitute Teachers

Students will return to school this week.  Both local school systems will start the 2021-2022 school year this Thursday, August 5th.  With the beginning of the school year, the county school system is putting out the call for substitute teachers.

With a shortage of workers in a crowded labor market, the Chattooga County School System is offering bonuses for substitutes and para-professionals.  According to the school system, you can find out more about those bonuses when you submit an application for the job.

The job does offer flexible hours and could be ideal for some workers.  But you will need some training.  Applicants must have a minimum of a high school diploma or GED and completion of the state mandated Substitute Teacher Training through NW GA RESA or hold a valid Georgia Teaching Certificate or Paraprofessional License.

For more information about the jobs available, you can contact Dawn Campbell, HR Director for the Chattooga County Board of Education at706-895-3043.
