Two Arrests Made After Trespassing Call

A call of an individual trespassing lead to disorderly conduct arrests for two individuals, last week.

Summerville Police Officers responded to a call of an individual, identified as Paul Jacob Laney of West Washington Street, who was trespassing on another property. Laney had already been issued a trespass warning for the address on Megginson Drive, when the resident, Delane Croy requested that he not come back to the property. Upon seeing the police, Laney attempted to flee along a creek bed, however he was found in the creek bed on Woodland Avenue and placed under arrest for Disorderly Conduct.

However, the arrests didn’t stop there. The caller, Delane Croy was also placed under arrest for Disorderly Conduct when it was discovered that she had lured Laney to her residence via a text message in a ruse to have him arrested for trespassing.

Both subjects were transported to the Chattooga County Jail.
