Rome Residents Accused of Hitting Elderly Person With Dementia

Two Rome residents were arrested Tuesday after they were accused of hitting an elderly woman with dementia.

According to Floyd County Jail records, 37-year old Rebecca Faye Gregg and 46-year old John Phillip Terry were overheard by witnesses telling the victim to shut up.

They were also overheard making threats to hit the victim, who had bruises on her eye and arm.

Gregg and Terry are charged with simple assault and exploitation and intimidation of an elder adult.
