Resurfacing Project on Hwy. 27 in Floyd County

GEORGIA DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION

Northwest Georgia Paving of Calhoun has been awarded a contract of just over $4 million dollars for the resurfacing of a portion of U.S. Highway 27 in Floyd County.

The project includes more than 8 miles of Martha Berry from just north of Turner McCall Boulevard in Rome to just north of Highway 156 in Armuchee.

According to the Georgia Department of Transportation, the anticipated completion date for the federal project is April 30, 2022.

The project is one of 30 construction contracts totaling more than $102 million dollars announced late last week by the Georgia DOT.
