A former NFL player landed in jail in Walker County over the weekend after threatening to “shoot up” a BBQ restaurant in LaFayette.
Former Seattle Seahawks running back Tony Burse allegedly made the threats after getting into a feud on Facebook with Dale Shropshire, owner of Ash Kicking Barbecue.
Burse came to the restaurant, where witnesses reportedly heard him make the threats.
WTVC in Chattanooga reported that the owner of the restaurant admitted to reaching for his gun during the altercation, but never pulled the gun on Burse.
Burse was charged with misdemeanor terroristic threats in connection with the incident.
