Meth Located Behind Mailbox

A local man reported suspected meth found behind his mailbox to Chattooga County Sheriff Deputies.

According to Chattooga County Sheriff office reports, on Saturday, May 15th, Deputies responded to a call at the intersection of Dean Road and Lickskillet Road about a suspicious substance. Arriving on scene, Deputies met with Mitch Gattis, who stated that earlier in the day he had discovered a clear, crystal like substance behind some mailboxes on Dean Road. Deputies also observed the suspicious substance, which did field test positive for methamphetamine. The drugs were placed into evidence and a report was filed.
