A Rock Spring man has been charged with DUI for drugs and vehicular homicide in connection with an accident that took the life of a eight-year-old girl.
The Georgia State Patrol says that the accident is still under investigation, but Cody A. Gann, age 29, has been officially charged by the Georgia State Patrol with serious injury by vehicle, DUI drugs – driving under the influence of drugs, improper lane change, failure to maintain lane, driving wrong side of the road, failure to exercise due care when using cell phone/radio, and homicide by vehicle 1st degree.
He was arrested on scene of the fatal crash Tuesday charged with felony violation probation.
Eight year-old Sarah English, a passenger in the car that was struck by Gann, was transported to T.C. Thompson Children’s Hospital in Chattanooga, but later passed away from injuries received in the accident.
Gann was booked into the Walker County Jail.
