According to Catoosa County Jail records, a Chattooga County woman was arrested for 2 hit and runs, all while driving under the influence with her 2 small children in the car.
Carrie Ann Nicholson was arrested in Catoosa County on Thursday, May 27th after her white Infiniti SUV was reported as being involved in an attempted hit and run.
Initial reports state that Nicholson was arrested in the Big Lots parking lot located on Battlefield Parkway. The initial call came in from a bystander who stated that the Infiniti SUV had struck a car in the same parking lot in front of the Dollar General store and that the driver appeared intoxicated with at least one small child inside the car.
After arriving on scene Officers also learned that another hit and run had been reported earlier in the day with the offending vehicle matching the description of Nicholsons’. It was later confirmed to be the same one. Nicholson was arrested and charged with Driving on the Right side of the roadway, Endangering a Child-DUI (2 counts), DUI 0.08 grams or more, and Hit and Run (2 counts). Nicholson was booked into the Catoosa County Jail as a hold for the Fort Oglethorpe Police Department.
