The Chattooga County Chamber of Commerce along with the Commissioners officer are inviting everyone to participate in helping Raise the Curtain on the Tooga, a fundraising effort to revamp the Chattooga Theater. The Chamber and the Commissioners officer are spearheading a campaign to raise funds to renovate the old Chattooga Theater, which hasn’t been used since the last production of the Chattooga Curtain Call group in 2019.
The new Tooga Theater will be a multi purpose indoor facility with events ranging from movie nights, to weddings, plays, and business meetings with a host of other public and private events. It will also serve as the new headquarters for the Chattooga Chamber, as its’ centralized location makes it ideal industry and tourism meeting place.
There are different levels of ways to give, starting with the Take a Seat level where you donate in honor of someone and a plaque will be placed on a seat with their name. This donation is $300. Other donations range from $500 to $10,o00. All donations are tax deductible and can mailed be to the Commissioners office.
