A Northwest Georgia man was arrested last week in neighboring DeKalb County, Alabama after law enforcement received an anonymous tip about a drug deal.
DeKalb County Sheriff’s Department narcotics agents received a tip that a man was headed from Northwest Georgia to Northeast Alabama, possibly to the Fort Payne area to sell methamphetamine.
Deputies intercepted forty-three-year-old Chance Dewayne Reed of Lindale, Georgia when he arrived to make the sale in Fort Payne.
Approximately 8.5 grams of methamphetamine was confiscated. Reed was charged with Attempt to Commit Controlled Substance and Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
