Trion Resident Arrested On Several Charges

The Lookout Mountain Judicial Circuit Drug Task Force arrested a Chattooga County sex offender on Friday on several charges that included drug possession.

Sixty-three-year-old Charlie William Jackson of Trion was arrested and booked into the Chattooga County Jail by Drug Task Force agents early Friday morning.  Jackson was charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, possession of methamphetamine, possession of a Schedule IV drug and failure to register as a sex offender.

Jackson was convicted of child molestation in January of 1997.  His last address reported to law enforcement was 2261 Old Highway 27 in Trion.

In addition to the drug, weapons and sex offender charges, Jackson was also charged with probation violation.
