Tools Stolen From Shed on Sardis Church Road

Earlier this week. Chattooga County Sheriff Deputies responded to a report of a theft on Sardis Church Road. Several handtools were reported stolen.

On Tuesday February 23rd, Deputies spoke with Joni Richardson in reference to a burglary. Miss Richardson advised that the property belonged to her mother who had recently passes away and is now vacant. She advised that someone had broken the hasp off the shed door and stolen several tools and other items out of the shed.  Richardson advised that she was last at the property on Thursday and everything was fine then.  Richardson believes her mother’s brother Charles Ward and his son Danny Ward along with a friend Billy Jones may be the ones who stole
the items. After an incident, a few weeks ago a camera was installed.  Richardson advised she had to wait
to get a computer to get the video but would save it for the investigator. Deputies advised that a report would be filed and the case turned over to investigation.

The hand tools taken are valued at over $6,000.
