As of Saturday, ten people have died on Georgia’s roadways during the New Year’s Holiday Travel Period that began last Thursday evening.
The latest fatality was in Northwest Georgia. Fifty-two-year-old Daniel Michael Kalein of Kennesaw, Georgia, was killed in the crash when his motorcycle collided with vehicle at the intersection of Highway 41 and Kelli Clark Court in Cartersville. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The New Year’s Holiday Travel Period ends at midnight tonight.
