Reminder from GDOT About Taylor Ridge

The Georgia DOT would like to remind motorist of the ongoing road work at Taylors Ridge that will cause further delays this week.


According to a statement from the Georgia DOT, “Weather permitting, crews will be closing a portion of Highway 27 on Taylor Ridge. A pilot car will lead traffic in each direction during the lane closures. The closures will be on  Monday and Tuesday of this week.”

The Georgia DOT says to expect pilot vehicles from Kirby Hollow Road on the west side of the ridge and from John Jones Road on the east side of the ridge.

The work will take place between  9 AM until 2:30 PM on Monday and Tuesday, according to the DOT.

Motorists are advised to expect delays, exercise caution, and reduce their speed while traveling through work zones.
