The Georgia Department of Transportation is telling motorist who use Highway 27 going over Taylor’s Ridge to be prepared for more delays starting Saturday.
According to a statement from the Georgia DOT, “Weather permitting, crews will be closing a portion of Highway 27 on Taylor Ridge. A pilot car will lead traffic in each direction during the lane closures. The closures will be on Saturday and Monday and Tuesday of next week.”
The Georgia DOT says to expect pilot vehicles from Kirby Hollow Road on the west side of the ridge and from John Jones Road on the east side of the ridge.
The work will take place between 8 AM and 5 PM on Saturday and from 9 AM until 2:30 PM on Monday and Tuesday, according to the DOT.
Motorists are advised to expect delays, exercise caution, and reduce their speed while traveling through work zones.
