Georgia voters have already gone to the polls several times this year, but the voting is not over in the Peach State.
In the special election race for the United States Senate, Democrat Rev. Raphael Warnock held a slight lead over Republican incumbent Sen. Kelly Loeffler, but neither candidate was able to secure the needed 50% of the vote to avoid a runoff election. By law, if no candidate gets over half the vote, the top two candidates advance to a run-off.
The special election is to fill the seat vacated by former Georgia U.S. Senator Johnny Isakson, who left his Senate post for health reasons.
