A two-vehicle accident at the Gore-Subligna Road / U.S. Highway 27 intersection at Gore resulted in serious injuries and required a person to be airlifted by Lifeforce on Monday afternoon.
The accident happened shortly after noon and backed up traffic in both directions for a period of time. Road construction on Highway 27 at Taylor’s Ridge added to the congestion.
According to emergency officials, one person was airlifted to Erlanger Medical Center in Chattanooga. Lifeforce landed at the Gore Fire Hall to transport the patient.
