The Summerville Police Department, acting on a tip from the Chattooga County Sheriff’s Department, responded to the Devonwood Apartments in Summerville to follow up on reports of suspicious drug activity.
The sheriff’s department, along with the Lookout Mountain Judicial Drug Task Force said that occupants at the apartment complex were believed to have been dealing in drugs and possible sex trafficking activity.
When officers arrived at the apartment, they were greeted at the door by a female. Officers said that they could smell the odor of burnt marijuana inside the apartment and asked for consent to search. Upon receiving consent, officers found drug paraphernalia and THC wax.
None of the four people at the residence claimed ownership of the drugs and all four were arrested. Those arrested included: Tasia Greene, Glen Walker, Larell Hampton and Kimberly McHelaney and were charged with possession of a Schedule I drug and possession or use of drug related objects.
