Cedartown Police are investigating two different shootings that occurred within hours apart this week.
The first, on Vine Street, left one person injured. According to Cedartown Police Chief Jamie Newsome, a dispute between two men occurred just before 8 pm Tuesday. The individual that was shot was airlifted to a trauma center for treatment.
The second shooting occurred Wednesday morning just before 4 am in the area of Cherokee Circle.
Initial reports said that 911 was called stating that nearly thirty shots were fired at a home.
When police arrived at the scene they found that no one had been shot. However, investigators located numerous shell casings in front of the home.
