Stolen Menlo Vehicle Recovered in Alabama

A vehicle that was stolen in Menlo over the weekend was recovered in DeKalb County, Alabama, according to a report from the Chattooga County Sheriff’s Office.

A Gaylesville, Alabama man was shopping at Lucky’s and had left the keys in his 2002 Chevrolet pickup truck.  The truck had a trailer that was loaded with a zero-turn lawnmower and a push-mower.  When the man came outside the supermarket, he discovered that his truck had been stolen.

Responding deputies with the Chattooga County Sheriff’s Office reviewed video footage from Lucky’s and determined that a white male had gotten out of another vehicle that pulled up at Lucky’s and got in the complainant’s truck and drove away.

According to the sheriff’s office report, the man’s truck was recovered in DeKalb County, Alabama after a pursuit by law enforcement.
