Police Forced to Pull Weapon on Man Wielding Knives

A LaFayette Police officer was forced to pull his service weapon while answering a domestic violence call, Friday.  The male aggressor pulled a large knife from its sheathe when confronted by two LPD officers.  He had four other knives on his person… and he obeyed the officers commands to drop them.
The 43 year suspect was arrested on a charge of simple battery, after admitting he pushed a female relative to the floor.  His girlfriend, with whom he had also been arguing, had already left the Park Street house by the time Police arrived.
The report states he was highly intoxicated and also on medication.
