Summerville Police are investigating a break-in that was reported at a storage unit on Commerce Street over the weekend.
According to a report from the Summerville Police Department, an officer was dispatched to Benny’s Storage Buildings after a complainant reported that someone had cut the lock on his storage unit.
The complainant told the officer that someone had taken a boat motor, marine batteries and fishing poles from the storage unit.
The owner of the storage buildings, Tim Perry, told Summerville Police that two other storage units also had the locks cut over the weekend and that he was working to contact the owners of the units.
The incidents have been turned over to an investigator.
