Homeless Woman Charged Twice In LaFayette – Refused to Pay for Meals

A homeless woman was charged TWICE after she refused to pay for meals consumed at Food City in LaFayette.  In the first incident on Sunday, she also tussled with employees.
40 year old Mindy Ann Dean told Police she was hungry and tried to eat and leave before anyone noticed.  One store employee had minor injuries from the altercation.
Inside her backpack… and others she had dropped outside the store, officers found items taken from the nearby Dollar General.  The total value was $162… and all items were returned to the store.
Dean was charged with aggravated assault, simple assault and theft by shoplifting.
After being released from jail, Dean came back and again ordered a meal without paying.  Food City served her with a trespass notice, banning her from the store.
