Five additional arrest were made Friday in the double murder case of two Rome women. The latest arrest, Kayra Vinnette Morgan-Edwards, 28, Julie Ann Satterfield, 38, Dion Lavarius Wade, 27, Jatavious Markel Smith, 26, and Devion Tremaine Neal, 26, were jailed on numerous charges including lying to authorities.
Reports said that Neal was taken into custody at 208 South Broad Street. While being taken into custody he was found with two pounds of marijuana, digital scales and a plastic baggie. He is accused of lying to investigators back on May 13.
Hull and Wade were taken into custody at 1330 Hull Avenue. While being arrested police said they weres in possession of marijuana, ecstasy, oxycodone and scales. They were accused of lying to police back on June 4.
Morgan-Edwards is charged with felony false statements and writings and concealment of facts. Edwards is a former jail officer with the Floyd County Sheriff’s Office.
Satterfield is charged with felony making false statements, meth possession as well as possession of drug-related objects.
Wade is charged with felony false statements and writings, possession of marijuana with intent to distribute and possession of ecstasy.
Smith is charged with felony possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, possession of more than one ounce of marijuana with intent to distribute. Reports said that Smith was in possession of a .38 caliber Taurus revolver, as well as marijuana back on May 18 at a Branham Avenue address.
Neal is charged with felony false statements and writings, possession of marijuana with intent to distribute and possession of drug-related objects.
Another man, Alec Heath Brogdon, 18 of Aragon, was arrested last week for selling a stolen Glock .380 pistol to Watts back in May.
