Shuntavious Shermar Clark, 20 of Rome, was arrested this week at the intersection of Dean Street and 411 after reports said he led police on a high speed chase of over 140 mph.
Reports said that officers clocked Clark driving 84 in a 65 and when they attempted to pull her over she sped away. Officers chased Clark onto Callier Springs Road, Dodd Blvd and back to Ga 20 where a PIT maneuver was used to stop the chase. Clark crashed the vehicle and fled on foot. Officers proceeded to tase Clark in order to bring the chase to and end.
A search of Clark and the vehicle led police to find a large amount of marijuana, scales, multiple baggies, a gun, and cash.
It was also discovered that he had been driving under the influence of drugs.
Clark is charged with two counts possession or distribution of marijuana, possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime, DUI drugs, possession and carrying a concealed weapon without a permit, failure to obey traffic control devices, obstruction, speeding, reckless driving and attempting to elude police.
